Hello guys,

I just thought that I would comment (moderator, move this post if I am in the wrong place)

I have been a member here for just a little under a year and have made ytd. around 375 posts. Not huge, not little, kinda medium.

I have attempted in this past year to also post and ask questions on some other gun forums. Geez...Some of the most rude, dismissive and elitist comments I have ever read. Seriously, you would have thought that I had volunteered to shoot someone's dog!! I honestly do not know if these folks are just kids trying to sound "cool", or are actually adults.

Please do not get me wrong, I am fairly thick skinned. However, as far as I am concerned, those folks can keep their, quite often, mis-informed, and frankly hateful rude comments to themselves. I am pretty sure that I was toting a jam-momatic in SE asia before they were born.

I appreciate the views and opinions, along with the feedback given to me by THR members.

Mr. moderators all...A huge thumbs up to you!! Please keep up the good work.

And to my fellow "Highroaders", thank you much!!

You got that right. This is a great site.

It will be 5 years for me in January. I have had the the privilege to meet some fine men in person. My life is enriched by this forum.

Yep, same experience here. Bad language, rude remarks and degrading comments on one board led me to actually challenge one basement dweller to meet me for a "negative social behavior correction session."

I am pretty sure that I was toting a jam-momatic in SE asia before they were born.

Welcome home brother.

Yes! A big thanks to the mods, and and even bigger thanks to the members who self police their conduct and are not afraid to hit the report button.

I've been on this forum a short while, calendar-wise, wondered if this would be any different than a couple of others I'd visited. You bet it is! I wondered if a couple of guy's responses was to irk me, or was casual comments on "my" answers, one must first be openminded about whats been posted after comments. I've since been fortunate to get to know some of these guys, the helpful suggestions given, and the feelings of being among others with my likes, as well as dislikes.

Okiegunner, welcome home, I was USN '67-71 myself, stick around, it does get better!
