I know that's kind of ridiculous for a 20" barrel but that's what he likes in a shotgun.
That's not ridiculous, screw in chokes makes any shotgun more versatile.
Not many options for Coach guns out there.
Baikals have several options such as single selective trigger good for cold weather shooting, double triggers, hammerless, exposed hammers, fixed chokes, choke tubes, walnut, birch.

I hunt dove with my Baikal made Spartan coach gun. I don't mind if the gun is I/C, mod fixed choke, but I really have no use for cylinder bore. Screw in chokes solve the problems, offer versatility.
Mine has internal hammers. External hammers are available, but I much prefer internal for actual USE.

Want to buy my Dad a Coach gun
Skip the Coach gun
Go straight for the Louis Vuitton MP5:

I probably am better off not knowing how much it costs to deck out an mp5 in LV.

I've looked at a lot of coach guns. The hammerless guns are pretty much all the same and generally the better fit and finished guns cost a little more.
If it's a hammer gun he wants, I really prefer the 1878 clone. The hammers are set up so that you can ear 'em back with one sweep of your thumb. It shouldn't be hard to find a gunsmith to put choke tubes in one.
