Long story short, Dad died a few years ago and I am finally getting some of the guns back from my sisters. This is the last one and I would like to get some info on it. I'll try to remember the pics this time.
I have the reciept from dad buying it in 1957 he gave it to my grandpa who said it didn't shoot right. Thats all I know about how it shoots. can anyone tell me how it should shoot? and what's the best way to clean it up? The engravings have grime in them. Are there any sources that tell me how to break it down for cleaning? My sister said she shot it but never cleaned it, so I can imagine how dirty the bore is.
thanks in advance for the info, this forum is great!!

Cute! I have a similar one I found in 22 Long for $100 and I removed the grips and pushed the button on the back of the slide which lets you take out the firing pin and slide of the slide. I put it in a shallow pan of Marvel Mystery oil (1 pint) for a couple of days and tooth brushed everything , cleaned the bore normally and reassembled it after blowing off with air and putting a few drops of Rem oil on sliding surfaces. I would like to say it shot great but it would not feed more than 3 shots in a row! I fooled with the mag until blue in the face :banghead::cuss::fire:and finally found a new old stock one of gun broker for $35 and now it works about 85% of the time. Still I like it!
