Hey again folks! Need some advice again.

So today I was chatting with my criminal justice professor (I'm a Law enforcement student) about whether or not I should get a compact, or full sized hand gun.

We chatted along and he mentioned that he has a Glock 27, but he doesn't really like Glocks and he likes his XD 45 better yadda yadda.

Anyway, I offered to buy it from him. It has a couple extra mags, and has only seen around 200 rounds since he's owned it. He bought it from an Officer.

Anything about the Glock 27 that I should know about? I know the .40 S&W is gonna be pretty snappy coming out of that tiny gun, but I can learn to manage that.

What price range should I expect? What should I offer?

I've seen Used police trade in Glock 22s go for about $350 and up, So I figure that would be a good starting price.

I plan on buying a G22 later if I do end up buying this.

Help a young gun out! Thanks again THR.

My buddy has a 27. It isn't really snappy at all. Those subcompact Glocks really shoot like bigger guns than they are. It helps that the grip is so wide, you can really get a lot of hand on it. I always shoot it accurately, and if you can get past the width it would be a solid carry piece. He tried selling it to a pawn shop and they offered like $290, so I think $350 would be a fair price, between acquaintances. It is more than he'd get if he pawned it, but less than you will likely find anywhere else. Everyone wins!

$350 seems pretty much on. You have no idea of its history before he got it either. Don't go over $400, as you can easily find another for $400

Most subcompacts will have snappier recoil with reduced accuracy compared to their fullsize models.

Glock 27 is an exception. While the recoil is snappier than G22, my G27 maintained comparable accuracy to G22 (7-15 yard off hand shot groups) since day one. Drop in a 40-9 conversion barrel and you have more affordable range practice using cheaper 9mm ammo.

As others posted, $350-$400 is a good price.

Here's mine with conversion barrel and +1 Pearce mag extension for full hand grip.

Thanks a ton guys.

Also wondering if the Glock 22 mags worked for the Glock 27, just for when I feel like running alot of ammo through a tiny gun.

Glock 23 and 22 mags work with the 27. As do the factory 22-round magazines.

I nearly bought a 27 because of versatility. .357 Sig, 9mm, .40 S&W, and .22LR all in a gun that could be stuffed in a pocket.

I ended up the the 26, and sometimes I wish I'd got the .40.
