hey guys, so i am still waiting for nikon to get their P223 scope out to the vendors (about 2 months now). to be honest, i'm tired of waiting for it. i called nikon today and they said it would be another month before they ship them, plus the "knowledgeable" customer service rep. couldn't tell me their price for it if i ordered through them. can u guys suggest a scope similar to this in the same price range ($150)? this scope is the fixed 3X scope with the BDC crosshairs. i would really appreciate it. cheers, hvychev77

Wow that sucks! Look at Optics Planet and if you find what you want call and be sure they have them. I have the Nikon223 1-4 on one of the .22 ARs and it is a nice little scope that I pulled off a 5.56 AR. Buds has scopes at times and I would really check out the Vortex line and see if they have what you are looking for. Ya just have to check around and see what meets your requirements.

how do the vortex scopes hold up? i have leupold on all my hunting rifles and love em all!! Are Vortex scopes good quality? reputable? thanks guys

If you order online from walmart you can pick it up at your store, no shipping fee.

CMC, that would be incorrect unfortunately. I spoke to the store manager here today for about a half hour trying to work something out. I couldn't even get it shipped to my house. The good thing is that Cabelas got some in stock finally, so guess who's getting an early christmas present!! thanks for all the help guys!

Hvy, Thanks for your patience, I'm glad you found one. I think you'll be happy with it and the P-Series Mount. That scope has sold very well down here in Tx. because of all the hog hunters who want to bust the brush and keep both eye's open. A buddy who shoot's 3-gun is in the same situation that you were, he's waiting for his as well. Heck, I still haven't touched one since Shot 2012. I liked both P-223 Scopes then and can't wait to own one.
I hope you'll post some pics and your thought's on it. Make sure you check out Spot On to get the most out of your BDC reticle.

Sorry I am not incorrect I have ordered a lot of struff online from walmart and picked it up at my local store.
I never had to talk to the manager , just ordered online and the item was cheaper online because it was on sale, also no shipping charges.
I had the local store call me and tell me my item was ready for pick up.

For a fixed power I like the Burris 332, holdovers to 600 yards and works with or without the battery, although it's black only when the battery dies.

CMC, i spoke to the store manager here yesterday at wally world. evidently, some items are restricted to certain stores, and this one is NOT an item that i can get shipped to my store for whatever reason. so, it's just one of those things..... not to mention walmart's level of customer servive, or lack of,makes my blood boil!!

I've been waiting on the P 223 too. I've got the P 22 on my S&W MP-15 22 and love it.
