A friend called while ago and said that someone had offered to sell him an Israeli 9mm. I told him that I recalled that they had a full size 9mm based on the CZ75, but would ask here for more info. Does anybody have one. He said specifically that it was not a compact so I guess that rules out the "baby eagle." Thanks

.........it only rules out the compact Baby Eagles in 9 & .40
there are full sized ones in 9, .40 and .45 that are very simular to the Jerihco pistols that are issued to Isreali troops

you will not that there ain't much difference between these Jerichos:

and these Baby Eagles:

other than the saftey location being either on the frame or the slide on different versions of the Jerhico & Baby Eagle......... IMI and Magnum Research have built the same concept around the 10-rd mag deal.......ie: the compacts ect
apples to apples
I am quite fond of the compact 9

Israel also had tons of HPs, FEGs, Buls so it could be most anything.

It is most likely the Baby Eagle, as the guy told him it was a Desert Eagle in 9mm. The seller just did not know the exact terminology. He is going to buy it tomorrow ($300). I told him if he did not want it, I probably would. This guy always beats me to the good deals!

the fullsized one is a bit nose heavy, but a great shooter

One more question on these "Baby" Eagles; do they take CZ75 mags? Or is it a pistol specific magazine.

Most Baby Eagle mags will work in my CZ. $300 doesn't sound like a deal unless it's like new. You can get a new CZ75 for $350, and probably get better customer sevice from CZ.

CZ mags won't work in an Eagle (but the opposite is true). The components for the Baby Eagle come from Tanfoglio in Italy. All of those 9mm pistol's mags will work. (TZ-75, TA-90,Witness, UZI Eagle, Jericho).
It's a good solid gun with a Polygonal bore. The finish is nicer looking than the standard CZ. Better grip, too.
