Anyone heard of this ammo? They're making some pretty eye-catching claims about velocity and expansion of this lead-free stuff. I just heard about it yesterday (http://www.libertyammunition.com/ ). Here's one cut/paste from their site:

Double the effective range
Triple the terminal effects
Increased penetration
30-50% improvements in ballistic coefficients
Increased accuracy
Ballistically matched to current weapon system
Lead-free

I've never seen it or heard of it... but I could be out of date, I dunno.

if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

It really depends on what they consider the original effective range. Yes a 2000fps 50gr 9mm will shoot flatter at first, but will shed velocity much quicker than a standard round.

50 grain slug at 2000 fps? I need to see the chrono and gel vids for that.

I'm wondering when Microsoft will hit them with a law suit for trademark infrigement due to the logo

Isn't it a licensed product? That's what i presumed.

People who spend a lot of time with video games might loose sense of reality, and begin to believe those numbers. They might also be the people who actually buy that Dead Right There ammo. ;)

It is possible, but I don't exactly see Microsoft wanting themselves in any way connected with real life ammo...not will all the lawyers running around telling non firearm realtedcompanies to distance themselves from firearms related merchandise.

There is so much to be said, but instead I think I'll just smile and nod.
