I've been offered one of these. Does anybody know if they take any other mags besides hi-point mags. Or, for that matter, can any other mags be made to work in one.

You are limited to the standard magazine. Do not use the 15rd Promag, it has been well documented to damage the rifle. Google it.

The new Pro Mags with the red follower are good to go, not that I highly endorse anything from Pro Mag. The earlier versions for the old style 995 could cause damage on the newer 995TS.

No longer. They've been R&Ded, now remade to not fail, namely those Rule303 mentioned. Mine worked fine, as do others. Google it.

First of all, sorry dad.
Thanks to all that replied. I've looked this thing over and decied it just wasn't for me. I'd be a little more specific but there's a chance the gent I was talking with about it might see this.

They are fun guns. I kinda regret selling mine, but its not something I'd turn down if it was a good offer. Fun range gun, decent for HD. Not going into battle with one, but that kinda goes without saying.

My brother had one for 6 months, after 500 rounds it had never jammed or failed once and was well liked by all. It did shoot right though. They're decent and useful guns, but yes, you are pretty much stuck with factory mags. He only sod it to help fund a Ruger pistol. If it's a good deal and you have a use for it, go for it. My brother regrets selling his, it's a great gun to loan to a semi unskilled shooter for HD. Cheap, reliable, easy to use, 10 rounds of 9mm in a carbine. Slap a couple spare mags nearby and you're good to go. It also has a rail for a flashlight.

I've got one and after well over 500 rounds not a problem, I also have a 15 round ProMag and it shoots as well as the factories. It is a fun gun to be sure. Infact it is one of my least expensive forearms.
