Kinda depends on where you are, and what kind of market you're in. It's worth whatever you can get someone to pay for it. Around here, probably 275-325, in southern Florida. That's kind of a wild guess, but the market here's pretty flooded, so it might even be lower. Check around on GunBroker.com and see what others are asking for theirs. The Sigma isn't a "high-demand" pistol; it was actually more aimed at entry-level buyers seeking a service-sized centerfire pistol.

They're $279 new here. $225 would be the Max that I'd pay. Great inexpensive guns!

I'm guessing about $200. Don't get me wrong they are decent guns but you can get a nib SD .40 for about 350 where I live.

Thanks alot I know its not a high end gun it was my first gun i bought, not knowing much about handguns. Now knowing more about guns, id like to upgrade to a better .40 cause its one of my favorite calibers to shoot. Any more info would be great

The truth is, Sigmas are priced new low enough to already make people look twice at them over say, a used Glock. They are already so low new to begin with, the market for used ones goes way low.

I abandoned the .40. If I were to get another one, it would likely be another G-22.

Is that for stainless models? If so, I guess they really have come down quite a bit since the last time I looked at them..

I just sold a used stainless .40, I had 4 magazines with it and it had been fired less than 50 times. I sold it for $300. The pistol was sent back to S&W the first week I had it, they lightened the trigger. The LGS in my area ask $379, but get $350 for them. I love them and would not have sold mine if not for the fact that it was my cousin wanting it. While I have never been a fan of a striker fired pistol, the Sigma is the best deal for one. They are a great pistol for the money...

My cousin was shopping around for a 9mm under $400 and while there are a "few" in this price-quandrant I agree with the aforementioned in that the S&W Sigma is the leader of this particular pack. He wanted the SR9 but it was just a tad out of his price-bracket. He used the saved money on accessories and immediate training. The last time I remember being that excited about a very nicely priced 9mm (where you get that all too rare "Steal" like feeling) was years ago when you could pick up a Ruger P95DC for $280 NIB OTD!).

I just bought my wife a like-new XD-9 for $300. So, that makes a Sigma for anything more than $200 seem....QUITE unreasonable.

I paid $300 brand new for mine, so I'd have a hard time paying more than $235 for a used one. Unless you can find one of those first time gun buyers who don't really know what they're looking at, because I have seen people buy them used for over retail price. There's one born every minute!

I have 4 Sigmas and like them a lot. I bought 3 of the 9mm pistols new at $249 to $299 and the last one, a 40 S&W was purchased used at $220.

I have better guns but I've never had a malfunction from any of the 4 pistols and it's a solid, reliable tool. Folks gripe about the trigger pull but I dry fire one of my 9mm pistols every day and when I get to the range, have no problem getting acceptable accuracy from them. It just takes a little practice.

Personally, I'd go about $250 for stainless if it's in great condition. Local shops around here usually get about $350 after tax.

You won't get much more if any. The LGS will have to pay low enough so that they have an acceptable profit margin, and they won't be able to sell it for much more than $250.

Your best bet is to find a private buyer to sell it to.

I see them consistently new for $299, rarely lower, and rarely higher. However, with the Sigma more-so than with other guns (I don't know why), those who attempt to sell them used still ask $300-$350. So, with tax, in my area, a Sigma is $320 OTD. A fair price for the one in 97% condition could be $275; 90% could be $250. I should note that those prices are a little high for me, but they're low enough to get a motivated buyer.

That's exactly what they would give here. I know this because I traded mine. I wasn't that pleased with it, and my wife wanted to try her hand at deer hunting, so I put it towards a .243 for her. They gave me exactly $200. I only paid $290 brand new so I didn't think they gouged me too bad to tell the truth. They have to make a profit too. They prolly sold it for $250.
