I've got a S&W M60 that I'd like a pocket holster for. Anyone have input either on pocket holsters or holsters for J-Frame guns?

I like the DeSantis Nemesis.

It's my current J-frame pocket holster.

I think they are only about $12 to $15 or so.

:p :D :p

I use a Galco pocket holster. I'm sorry I cannot recall the specific name (model on my holster reads 'PH158'). Very comfy in the front pocket of slacks or khakis. Also works in the handwarmer of light jackets. Hope this helps.

I like Kramer's pocket holster. Pricey ($80) but IMHO worth the price. Horsehide construction plus a Kydex insert to prevent printing.

I'll throw out a suggestion to consider checking out the FIST line of pocket holsters in either kydex or leather. I carry a P-32 nearly everyday in a FIST K-5 kydex model, and don't have any problems with concealment, presentation, or comfort.

If you have an interest, here's a link for more info:

FIST #5 in leather (http://gunnersalley.zoovy.com/product/FIST5POCKET)

FIST K-5 in kydex (http://gunnersalley.zoovy.com/product/FISTK5KYDEX)

Please let us know if you might have any questions on either of these rigs.

I've got a Pocket Grabber for my J-frame. The neoprene holds it securely in the pocket for the draw. I'm happy with it.

My vote is for the DeSantis Nemisis. I have them for my 360PD and MK9. They are very functional and affordable. If you are not "hell bent for leather" these can't be beat.

If you are looking for a finely crafted leather pocket holster look no further than PCS. Pocket Concealment System offers well thought out hoslter designs for various pant types--straight drop pockets--on seam pockets such as docker and slacks.

Techbrute,

You may already know this, but you might want to try drawing that M60 from your pocket a few times. It can snag pretty easily with that exposed hammer.

Just FYI.

Another vote for Kramer. I have a pair (right and left) I carry everyday in one or the other and they are still in good shape after ten years.

put your thumb over the hammer as you draw and you wont hang it up. I must be some kind of dinosaur because I actually prefer the exposed hammer. But I've been hit over the head a couple of times.:)

Yeah, I'm a "thumb over the hammer" type of guy. I've carried it plenty of times, and the only time I've ever had to draw my CCW it was a revolver with a hammer out of my pocket.

I've currently tried the Galco Pocket holster and the Uncle Mike's pocket holster. I like the Uncle Mike's better due to it not being too bulky in my pocket. The Galco model is too big and flat for my taste. It is also a noisy holster. Everytime I walk with the holster, it creaks bad. I just orderd a Milt-Sparks PCH-R this morning and hope to have it in wed. It is made with a metal border sewn it to allow it to be shaper to the contour of my leg, so that it doesn't look like a pancake in my pocket. I'll post pics of the milt-Spark piece when I get compaired to the othe two.

Robert.
