I want to pick up a Suppressor for my Sako TRG22. What are my options, does anyone have any recommendations. I really do not want to turn the barrel down and rethread it to be honest. Would it be worth doing that or would you recommend just rebarreling it?

I wouldnt spend money rebarelling it. Its gonna be cheaper to turn and thread, and it wont hurt the barrel at all. Have someone competent do it , to ensure its concentric to the bore. Just throw a thread protector on it when you dont have the suppressor on

DON'T touch the threads or barrel.
Suppressed Armament Systems (www.suppressedarmament.com) and Thunderbeast Arms (Zak Smith here owns or owns/runs it, www.thunderbeastarms.com) both make suppressors that thread directly onto the M18x1 metric threads. Both are companies that make cans specific to precision bolt-action rifles. TBAC has a huge loyal following and shows very little POI change.
If you don't fancy a direct-thread on suppressor, they also make brake systems for your barrel which are externally threaded for a suppressor so you can run a brake if a can isn't appropriate or slip the can over the brake and use the brake as a primary baffle. SAS also makes an additional QD brake so you can do a quick-attach can from them if that's your thing. There are also several other companies I can't think of off the top of my head that make oddball threads for rifles like Sakos and AIs. There is absolutely no reason to rethread your barrel or put on another barrel when the factory barrel is sub 1/2MOA out of the box. I researched the two aforementioned companies because they were the only ones making muzzle brake-mounted cans as I wanted to shoot with a brake when the can wasn't mounted.

Sako muzzle thread is good and proper, properly aligned and keep the suppressor on. DO NOT TOUCH. Rather find something that uses that thread. If you need the specs, then:
Low left corner, SAKO thread and M18x1.
Our people use the Ase-utra SL7 suppressors, mostly. I am happy with it, I can shoot the 60 cm barrel, 300WM easily without any hearing protection. Just a WHOOOSSSHHHH. But Ase-utra is Finnish company, I'm sure those beforementioned US company's products work just as well.

I have a TRG22 in .308 and after a large amount of research I just placed an order for a Thunder Beast 30BA. Ordered an addition 1/2x28 brake for my AR. If you order before 12/07/12 you can take advantage of this offer http://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=3674146&gonew=1#UNREAD
