Has anyone tried any of the cast bullets made by Friendswood Bullet Co. They are a new product on Powder Valley and was curious.

Yes. They have a very nice looking bullet. I tried te 230gr .452's, and 180gr .401" for 40s&w. I liked the 45's, but didn't care for the 40's. The 40's had to be seated much deeper than my liking to pass the plunk test.

That said I would still use Missouri Bullet Co first.

I bought some 125 gr CN 9MM and 200 gr 45 SWC from them before I started using MBC. The quality is as good as any I've tried. MBC just has a larger selection.

Price is comparable to Mo. Bullets. If the quality is there, they should be fine. BTW, I used to live on Friendswood, TX.

I have used and will use again there 9mm 125 gr, 45acp 230 gr, 45 Colt 200 gr and 45 Colt 250 gr. I also buy almost the identical same bullets through http://www.qualitycastbullets.com/bullets sometimes a bit cheaper though both are close.

I use them cuz they are local. Good product, decent pricing. Nice to support the local mom & pop...

I tried them and they are fine. I don't use them because I have to pay shipping and sales tax. But they are as good a bullet as I've seen.

I've used the 45 acp 200 gr SWC before and ordered 2 more boxes today. They work good in all of my 1911's with no feed issues. I was impressed with the accuracy, price was very comparable. I also use MO lead bullets but had a problem with them sticking in my seating die.

Thanks Oldreloader, I was sniffing around the site for that info, but must have gotten side..... squirrel. Just ordered 2K of their 40 cal RNSWC's since it looks like what I am reloading now. The old Dillon RNSW in 155 gr. Hoping I don't have to change much since I love the load that is worked up now. I will keep you all posted of the process. Fingers Crossed. Actually placed an order with MBC at the same time for some RNFP in 200 gr for my 45. A little unintended trial comparison. We will see how it works out.

I've purchased their 158gr .357 SWC, good quality and a fair price. I plan to buy those again in the future.

Also purchased 9mm 115gr Round nose that didn't work out well at all. In fairness, I've yet to develop a good 9mm load using lead. The bullets are high quality and are consistent weight and dimensions.

I picked Friendswood Bullet Company because it is local and I was able to bypass shipping charges by picking up.

9mm is a fairly high pressure round and the 115 is moving at velocities that typically caues leading issues in the barrel. Try bumping up to a 124 or 147 grain bullet.

Powder choice is also critical. Winchester WSF has a good record of working well with lead bullets in 9mm.

I also had problems with their 9mm "round". They were jamming in my XD even with good length. The XD just didn't like the fat tips on the round nose bullets I guess.

But all of their other calibers always worked very well for me.

I've used them in 9mm and .38spl. with no problems. Good consistent size and weight.

I like the 125 gr TC 9MM bullet. Both it and the 147 gr FP work well for me

Local company, I usually pick them up at T's in Texas City. I load the 200gr .452 in my .45 Colt Uberti. No problems.
