Has anybody heard of someone shortening a .300 WSM down to a length that can be shot out of a .45 ACP frame (por ejemplo: Glock 20/21), and fitting it up with a .50 cal bullet? There is a thread concerning converting a .300 WSM rifle to a .50 caliber, but I have never heard of shortening it down to be used in a full frame sem-auto before, and am curious as to the possibility/plausibility of it. Could the brass still handle the pressures of its parent cartridge?
Thanks for your help, all

By the way: I am aware of the existence of the .50 GI, and the availability of the Guncrafter's Glock conversion to .50 GI; I am likely to eventually acquire one of these, even if just for the novelty of it. I am also aware of the existence of the .50AE; too big for my little hands, and too big for most semi-autos. Finally, I am acutely aware of how passionate some folks are about sticking to the tried and true .45 ACP, or the beloved 10mm Auto, and I am fond of both of these calibers. However, I am asking specifically if this shortened .300 WSM round, or something like it, has been wild-catted to your knowledge.
