Howdy, just wondering how transferable the CZ mags are?

IE, do CZ 75B mags work in the compact, SP-01, SP-01 Phantom, etc.?

Thanks for the input...

Those designted 75B or 75B variant (rami, P01, PCR, SP01, yadda, yadda, yadda) all use the same mags. I think the older 75 uses a slightly different mag than a 75B, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I do know that the P07 uses it's own mags and is not compatible to the 75B mags. That's a big reason why I never bought one.

Compact mags will not fit full size guns, but full size mags will fit in the compacts. They just hang out the bottom more.

The 75 B mags will fit in the SP-01, but they are a flush fit. That is as far as I know the only exception to shorter mags working in larger guns. All the larger mags will "fit" into the smaller guns, they just hang out some.

And as noted, the older 75 (also known as Pre-B models) mags will work in the B models, but many mags that work in the 75Bs won't work in the 75s.

It's more of a "gun" issue than a "mag" issue, as the oldest 75s had a tighter mag channel in the grip near the top. As they moved forward in time, they started to accept the newer mags, which are very slightly larger.

The mag channel can be opened up with a flat file in these older guns pretty easily. There are instructions on a number of these forums of how (and where) to do it. Once opened up, any mag will work in an older 75.

As noted, the compact models will accept full-size mags, but not vice versa.

Let's cut to the chase. Yes, you should get a CZ of your liking.;)

One thing to understand, the CZ mags have to be the same caliber as well. 9mm, 40, 45. Kadet mags work in the 9mm models.

The last two choices in the poll have me laughing. What about another choice," I once saw a CZ 75 and I like turtles". ;)

When I carry my CZ PCR 9mm, I carry the PCR mag in the gun and my CZ-75 BD mag as a spare.

Alright then, thank you for the input, next question:

Does ammo matter for the Cz 75s? I found a 75 Compact here in the classys, thanks wibuckeye, but have yet to get her to the range yet.

For accuracy my Glocks and SIGs really prefer 124gr 9mm. Are the CZs picky?

I happen to love my Pre CZ-75B, in 9mm, it is a Tack Driver, and I have NEVER had a problem with it, at least since 1978.

One thing I found was that the standard 16rd CZ75 mags would not drop free from the SP-01 Phantom.

Concerning ammo, I found the 124 grain 9mm would consistently shoot about 2/3 the group size as 115 grain, in my pistols anyway. I used Federal American Eagle ammo.
