NC, legal to have ar-15 in trunk?

plan to tour blue ridge parkway, on the NC side, will it be legal to have an ar-15 in box unloaded in the trunk? legal on camp sites and visitor centers/stores parking lot?

is it legal if ventured into virginia side?

It's for sure legal in Virginia. I'll ask my NC friends to be sure about down there.

i dont see why not. heck throw it in a gun rack if you want. now that national park laws follow state law i see no problem. as a teen in nc i always had a gun in my truck unless i was at school

Per the North Carolina AG you are good to go in the trunk there also.
