Ok so I just got a TC Venture in 243 and decided will be getting a Burris Fullfield 2 scope to top it off with :D after checking a ton of scopes at the local shop today I found that to be the best scope for my eye under $250. Now this is where I seem to be running into a problem I cant find any info on what size scope base to buy...... I would very much like to get the Burris Base and rings but I dont know what base to get is it the same size as a remington 700 or a Savage 10 or a Winchester????? Why can't the just make these things universal :cuss:. So does anyone know the answer to this question what size base do I get or am I stuck to the weaver that comes with it?
Just a side note to stick in : this is the first time I am not getting a Nikon scope on a rifle I strongly suggest to anyone looking for a scope to check out a Burris very impressive optic.

Which Burris base type are you wanting?
and in case you didn't know, there is little to nothing special about Burris bases
the Burris "Standard" = Leupold Standard
the double-dovetails = Leupold double-dovetails
and the "Zee" line is burris' name for their version of "Weaver" mounts
so if all you're wanting to do is put Burris "Signature" rings on your Venture and be able to use those posi-align insert, you can simply buy the correct height Signature-Zee rings and the inserts

Talley lists their lightweight scope mount for the Venture.
It has the same stock number as the Savage mount.
