Anybody know when the new Browning A5's are supposed to show up? I think my first all camo'ed out duck gun may be a new A5 in M.O. Duck Blind...

Local shop has one. Seems like a cheap Benelli copy, sadly. In particular, the bolt release is particularly cheesy and the finish seems poor.

I've been cured of a desire to have one.

From what I've been told, internally they are nothing like the Auto 5 of yore. My local place has a few. For the money you could pickup a near mint Japanese made browning A5 and have $500 left over.

They are nothing like the original A5 except for the name and a few styling cues.

These are out. I held Gucci-flage version with long barrel. The tag had shocking $1389 on it. The prices for some Berettas and Benellis are even higher. Who pays for this stuff? You can get Stoeger KoolAid gun for <$500.

I'm a owner of one of the new A-5's and took it out for opening Duck season this past weekend and ran into one major, major issue. I'm left handed and the enlarged safety lines right up with my trigger finger so every time I squeezed the trigger the concussion would cause the safety to activate. Virtually every time making it a one shot shotgun. I'm hoping this is something I can have adjusted or reversed. Now that being said the gun did shoot super smooth, accurate, and was a blast. If I can get the safety adjusted than I would say it was perfect. If I can't...Southpaws beware.

I have had one in the safe now for a couple of months, still in the box. It's a shame it will never see a shell.
