Anyone messed with 9mm Major in USPSA Revolver?
I'd love to be able to exploit my super cheap brass source (only good for 9mm), and get into a K or L frame, rather than the 625 I'm using now.

Call Apex Tactical Specialties and talk to either Randy or Lisa. I know Randy has built some 9mm conversion on the 627, but I'm sure he's either experimented or studied it on smaller frames for customers.
I've heard that Randy is also very good about calling back when you e-mail

There are some issues with the 9x19 in revos. The big one is the tapered case working back.
Major in a revo with either 9 or 38 Super/Special is not fun. Really snappy recoil. It is not bad with 170 gn bullets, but still harsh when you compare it to 45 ACP recoil.
I settled on MG 142 gn bullets at minor in 38 Short Colt brass in my 627 at minor and Berrys 185 RNHB in my 625 at major. I mainly shoot my 627 at ICORE matches and my 625 at USPSA Matches.
When you shoot revo with moonclips you get your brass back 99.9% of the time.
My goal for 2013 is to make GM with a revo. One GM classifier so far and lots of M scores.

So I'm back to trying to find an L frame in .40 I guess.
I've already been talking to Apex, but if I'm going to put a ton of money into a gun, it should probably be a gun that isn't too big for my hands. The trigger reach just kills me on the N Frame. Shooting one handed, gun or support hand is ridiculously difficult because my grip is so compromised trying to reach the trigger.
