I made these in 2002 towards the end of my knife & sheath building hobby.
They are a matched pair made for a friends two sons Xmas presents.

The 7 ˝” blades are purchased AUS-6 stainless Cyro treated blanks.
Guards silver soldered to blade’s.

Black Dymondwood scales attached with epoxy and Loveless style bolts.

Impressive. Thank you for the post.

The sheath and retention tab is impressive also. Did you design/sew those?

Opposing comments seem to be common regarding cyro treated rifle barrels. Is there mixed opinion of cyro blades also?

Thanks again,

salty

Yes, I made everything about them, except the blade blanks, including the sheaths, and brass "button" keepers for them.

As for Cyro treating blades??

I don't have a clue whether it helps a knife or not.

I have used a few, but not treated and untreated of the same design at the same time to see if there was actually any advantage to it??

As usual superior work with a fine eye for detail.

It took me a second to realize that the chips in the top blade were leaves.:)

Pure works of art.

Were those pictures taken in 2002?

No, I had my friend round up the two knives from his sons the other day to photograph them.

I lost everything in a hard drive crash last year, so I am trying to get as many new photos again as I can.

Unfortunately, a lot of the knives I made went to other parts of the country never to be seen again.
