Homemade Coffin Handles

This is a remodeled Buck #119 I did for a Cowboy Action Shooter back east.
He wanted a ball end guard, and a sheath to match his El Paso Saddlery two-gun rig.
And he wanted 14 nails in the coffin, for some reason???

Close as I could get it to match when the gun belt was on the east coast and the knife & I were in Kansas!
Sheath has Latigo lacing, brass post keeper, and deer horn thong tips!

Here is a Buck #120 this time, I did it for a guy with file work guard, silver Cloisonné Concho’s and hand tooling.
Deer horn antler tips were hand carved and burned to raise highlights of the carving.

What's the handle material?

Imitation Ivory of the time.
I bought a big block of it from TKMS.

Pretty nasty looking stuff compaired to the old Ivory Micarta.

And it had glass fiber in it that ruined tools faster then I could sharpen or replace them.
