Lerk's question for bluing in MN struck a cord with me. And the responder noted his shop blued about once a month. I appreciate a smith does not fire up the tanks on a whim, but I have had a barrel awaiting for a dunk well over 6 months.

So, anyone out there have a recommendation for a shop within ~2 hours of Sacramento that does good work on a consistent periodic basis? Thanks much in advance. :-)

You might give the Lassen College gunsmith shop a call, When I was a student there we blued every Thursday. The school is located in Susanville.
