Somebody tell me please, what a steel used in 1911 barrel link?
1911 barrel link is heat-treated?

There is no one answer, as various manufactures use different steels.

Wilson uses 416 Stainless, EGW uses chrome-moly steel, and Colt won't tell you what they use.

But regardless of that, yes, they are all heat treated for wear resistance and duribility.

sorry, I mean - what is min. tensile strength of steel for barrel link?

I have no idea, and never gave it any thought.

The only reason I would need to know is if I were going to make one.

Aad there is no reason to do that, as new ones in all sizes cost next to nothing as far as gun parts go.
