Well Herco wasn't my fave in .38 SP, but I sure like it in .45 ACP

I think that's the best group I've ever shot. 30 feet, 5 shots rested, Dan Wesson Heritage Razorback, blarby's 200 gr LSW tumble lubed, mixed brass, 6.0 gr Herco, 1.19 OAL, CCI LPP.

The same charge under MBC 230 "softball" LRN made a slightly larger one-hole group just below the bull.

5.2 grains wasn't as accurate, but 5.6 was about the same. Both the 5.6 and 6.0 loads feel just slightly softer than the factory remington 230 I shot for comparison. Brass looks good, pistol seems quite clean.

Think I found a good use for my 4 lb can of Herco! ;)

I really like Herco in 45acp - on the days I don't mind a few unburnt flakes everywhere.

I have had good results with Accurate #5 and VV-n340 in 38spl at near max loads, these powders also do well in 45acp at the upper end loadings.
