I see you have put a lot of time & effort into your builds. Is there any reason you use the Marlin 60 as a starting point?

im in california and we're limited to 10 round max for magazines however it doesnt apply to tube fed rifles.
i had a marlin 795 that i originally used for a UMP and SCAR conversion and didnt like how the skinny magazine was sticking out.
did some research on tube fed rifles and found out about Marlin 60s and their 15-18 round capacity. also found out theyre $50-$70 a piece so i can buy 3 of these for the price of a single Ruger 10/22. also i dont have to cut around the mag well of the airsoft stocks
i plan on buying 7 more Marlin 60's for more conversions

Thats it? I thought you said 'collection'? :neener:
Very cool - and way cheaper than shooting centerfire if you are happy at shorter ranges! I just bought my 3rd rimfire - Im sure there will be more down the road...

i still have 20+ other stocks that need its own .22LR action/barrel inside. once i buy more Marlin 60's to fill up each stock, ill take an update pic of the "collection" hehe
yea i just like hanging out at the pistol area plinking steel targets

I'll bet when you line up at the range with one of those belt feds, the guys on the benches around you start to relocate... only to hear the "pop" of the diminutive rimfire! That's a gas!
You have worked very hard to make your collection what it is. Very creative. Neat. :)

Thanks for answering my other question. I have another. In your videos I see the Hi-Viz vest. Is that a range requirement?
I always wear orange shirts on my range trips. Safety is always a high priority.
I did see in the past you stated about the mag/Cali thing. Marlin 60s can be under appreciated, but that works out for you.

it was a zombie event at night so it was required that we wear reflective vest when we go out to put out the paper targets. normally i dont wear it during the day.
yea i like the marlins over the 10/22 because its so cheap and can fit in a lot of different stocks. 15-18 rounds is also a big plus for californians.

Purchased another M14 EBR stock for $150 and will fit a Marlin 60 in this. I did a Ruger 10/22 last time with an M14 EBR
Just finished gutting it. 75% done.
Still need to do:
Cut out the ejection port
Add epoxy putty to secure the action
Add epoxy putty to bed the barrel
Drill a hole through the buffer in the action
Tap a hole in the M14 action to secure it.
Pin the M14 magazine to the M14 magwell
Add M14 scope rail
Reconnect the action and trigger housing
Will likely put up the M14 EBR chassis (without the firearm) on gunbroker when I'm done with this.
