Is it ok the put buck-shot through a modified choke? because i would like to use my duck gun with buck-shot but would not like for it to expload.

OK? As in safe? Sure - will it give you a good pattern? That depends on your gun with your ammo at the pattern board

Buckshot typically patterns best in a choke ranging from imp cylinder to imp modified (modified is the middle ground there).

You won't have any problems with safety, but you should pattern your gun to see how well it shoots the load that you have chosen.

My old 16 gauge delivers best patterns with FULL choke. So it goes.

Best place to start is 3/4 choke for plain un-plated loads and full for more expensive nickel-plated or buffered plus copper-plated stuff. The best load is Italian-made nickel-plated stuff at about 1200fps often called reduced recoil or personal defense by Americans.

My experience is that the new FilteControl loads do best through a CYL or ImpCyl choke. 'Standard' loads will differ from gun to gun in how they perform, as a rule many tend to do well with a Mod choke, especially the reduced recoil loads with buffering, hard and/or plated pellets and shot cups. The cheap stuff (S&B, Rio etc) with soft lead pellets and little or no protection for the pellets, tends to throw open patterns no matter what.

Bottom line is, it's OK to shoot buckshot through a Mod choke, but you won't know what kind of patterns you'll get until you test some different loads and see.
