Thinking about replacing the standard rear factory sight on a winny '94. Eyes starting to give me alot of problems. NO scope options, please. Don't want to go for BIG $$$$$$$. Just a better option than what i got on there now for some plinking out to 100 at the most, 50 more likely.

THANK YOU, exactly what i was looking for.
Now, the $99 question. Can you make a recommendation taking into account my needs/requirements. One better than the other ? I'm kind of partial to that tang sight; makes the gun LOOK like its back in 1894. The skinner sight looks like i would have to have a smith drill and tap for it; i have top eject. Can the tang sight be installed by a non-smith by just removing the screw just behind the trigger that holds the receiver to the stock ?

Tang sights look cool, but I have my doubts about their durability, or comfort when shooting. I went with a Williams Fool Proof receiver sight, for which the Win94 is already drilled and tapped. I got mine used from eBay, for about half of what they sell for retail, and have been very happy with it.
