I recently went to check out what was advertised as 03A3 parts, but discovered they were something else entirely. The box was filled with 1911 parts wrapped in cosmoline paper, mostly Ithaca arms. There were enough parts for two complete guns w/o frame and slides. Apparently the gentlemans brother was an armorer or in ordinance. So is there any value to the parts, as this is not really my area of expertise?

You betcha there is.

I can't say how much as you would have to sell them somehow.
Maybe eBay would be a good bet..

But there is certainly some real value in any new WWII 1911A1 parts.

Ebay is actually a very good place to get rid of original colt parts. I see original 1911 parts on there all the time and they are almost always going for serious money.
