Hey everyone, I'd like to get an opinion from the collective minds of the forum. I've got an offer to buy an excellent condition CZ75 BD with 2 OEM mags and a 30 round magazine. What would be a fair price?

The BD Police is a great gun. It's the full sized version (more or less) of the PCR. Steel frame, loaded chamber indicator (done well), decocker, front strap checkering (nothing fancy...stamped checkering). Two mags in excellent shape with the box and both sets of grips (plastic and hogue wrap around) should be MAX $400-425 but it would need to include everything -- plastic box, outer cardboard box, book, test target, etc. just the gun and 2 mags? In good to perfect shape $350-400

The only complaint people seem to have with the BD's is the decocker. In the CZ world the guns are either decocker only or safety only. The CZ 75 was one of the first SA/DA guns to allow cocked and locked carry (much like an SA only such as a 1911 or Browning Hi-Power). Unlike say a Beretta or a Walther style where the safety lever is also a decocker.

As a left handed person, my choices are limited when it comes to ambi controls. With a decocker ONLY there isn't any safety to get accidentally flipped on. I load, decock, and holster. Nothing else to do should a dire situation arise but to draw and fire.

$400... the CZ will spoil you.

One of the advantages of the CZ decocking system is that when you depress the decocking lever the hammer is intercepted by the half-cock notch. Once broken in the DA pull is short and sweet. They get better with use. $400 seems to me to be about the high end of what I'd pay for a used 75 BD. ;)

Well, due to the lack of a decent used handgun market here I'm going to pay a little more than I probably should. $425, but then I won't have to worry about finding a handgun before I leave to go back to MS.

Eh, what's an extra $25? You are still getting a FANTASTIC gun. It would take me all of 5 seconds to forget that $25.00. Please post lots of pictures.

I probably paid $25 too much for my XDm 4.5 .45 ACP two years ago. No big deal. ;)
