Remington customer service; thumbs up

So back in Sept, I bought a standard 1911 R1. Awesome pistol. Excellent fit & finish, totally reliable, very accurate. However, it was consistently 4-5" low at 25 yards.

I emailed Remington about the issue, told them I'd like to get a new front and/or rear sight if available. They asked for my address, and 3 days later I had a lower front sight in my hands at no charge.

It may seem insignificant, being that it's a small, cheap part. But in my book, any company that deals with an issue like this so expediently and with no questions asked deserves recognition. I own a dozen Remington firearms, this is the first time I've ever needed their customer service department.

That's good to hear. You don't get that kind of service nowadays from many companies.
