I don't have a 19/23. Someday I will! I sometimes carry a glock 17 in a PJ holster. Great holster. I've tried a few and I really like this one.

- It completely protects and covers the trigger.
- The gun "clicks" into place, something I haven't experienced in leather holsters.
- It is a THIN holster.
- About as comfortable as a full size glock can be, IWB at least.

When I ride my bike or do things where it's a pain to carry IWB I used a Blackhawk Serpa but the rest of the time I use this guy right here

glock 19. Comptac Minator IWB. Most comfortable IWB holster I've found. And I've tried plenty.

For my G19'G4 I have an OWB Galco Wrath, IWB Fast-Draw Four-Way Leather Holster, and. a Blade-Tech Nano IWB holster.

Comp-tac mtac, with a wilderness tactical instructors belt 1.75 5 stitch. I tried it with a flimsy belt before getting a solid one, even with IWB you need a good belt.

Agreed. Minotaur is number 1.

I carry my G19 in a blackhawk IWB holster. I forget it's there sometimes.

My G23 rides in a Crossbreed Supertuck for IWB or a Dual Snapcake for OWB from - Most of the time I carry OWB because it is more comfortable but the Crossbreed travels well also. Just depends on what I am doing that day.

I used to carry a G23 in an IWB holster while living in Florida in the 90's. There wasn't a whole lot to choose from back then in holster styles. I used a nylon holster with a thumb-break strap, it also had a pouch on the front for an extra magazine. It was comfortable and very concealable even when just wearing shorts and a T-shirt.

I sometimes carry my g19 over my g26. I carry both of them in a comptac spartan IWB holster. I have a spartan for my m&p 45c also. I love them they ride great, are very solid, and I love the design of the clips. The clips are the most "snag free" clips I have ever used, never once has my shirt got caught on them while practicing drawing from concealment.

Galco Royal Guard, but I'm looking for something thinner at the top.

Appendix carry. This holster:

Most of the time I just carry my 26, though.

I always carried in a crossbreed, previously. Once I lost my belly and love handles, I discovered appendix was just more comfortable in day to day life. Plus, I can draw seated even with a seatbelt on.

Both IWB and OWB depending on circumstances (but mostly IWB). I use a Raven concealment holster. I have also been experimenting with a Raven concealment vanguard 2 (which I typically use for appendix carry).

I have also been experimenting with a Raven concealment vanguard 2 (which I typically use for appendix carry).

I've used those and I've been VERY happy with them. Not the raven specifically, but a similar one. I prefer the paracord over the clip. It holds pretty securely. I'm able to hang upside down on the monkey bars with my kid and it stays put so it passes my basic test. :) The downside is I've managed to destroy 2 of them in the dryer.

FWIW, I tried some take downs and basic rolling with a friend with various holsters. The end result was that the gun fell out eventually (eventually=under a minute of vigorous fighting) no matter what we used (crossbreed style, triggerguard, holster above, summer comfort style...). What I learned was that if you roll on the ground fighting, you'll lose your gun unless you have a thumb break or other physical locking method. I always kind of figured that. 4 o'clock behind the hip retained the longest, but hurt like $%^& every time he took me to the mat (concrete would be a major ouch).

VERY comfortable and concealable. Any type serious holster I want, I check with Alessi first before looking elsewhere.

OWB. Raven Concealment Systems Phantom holster.

I carry a G19 IWB, with a Galco King Tuk. It was the first IWB holster I tried, and it's given me nothing to complain about whatsoever.

I carry my 19 in a Nate Squared holster at 3:00. Works great.

I've been carrying a Glock 19 in a Milt Sparks Executive's Companion IWB leather holster, positioned about 4 o'clock, for over a decade and I've been very pleased with this setup.

All my IWB holsters are the Milt Sparks Executive's Companion. I also carry, depending on the situation, a Glock 27 and a Kahr PM-9 but the Glock 19 is my primary carry gun.

I carry the G23 and G19 IWB in an Aholster IWB and the matching mag carrier. Good stuff, comfortable and concealing..

G19 in a Milt Sparks Summer Special II IWB, about 4:00 on the hip. Milt Sparks double mag carrier on opposite hip.

I'm not sure if you're just asking about holster/carry methods but if you're debating between those two models I advise getting a 19. I bought a 23 for my first carry gun and traded it for a 19 within three months. As much as i tried, i couldn't get used to the recoil of the .40. I was MUCH faster with the 19 and didn't flinch like i did with the 23.

Note: I've broken my right hand twice, so I'm more recoil sensitive than most when it comes to handguns. If you're just as comfortable/fast/accurate with the 23 and the cost difference for the ammo isn't an issue, then you might want to go with it instead. Safe shooting!

I am asking about holster style, i just titled it that way because they are the same. Thanks.

December 8, 2012, 06:14 PM
Do not believe that single type of IWb is just like others holsters that look kinda alike They do n'y not wear the same even tho some may look kinda alike.. Ain't gone be that way or that easy. Most of use have bought holster that we don't like that others do like. So man up , pick one and give it a try out.

So u need to start with front side carry or rear. Meaning straight up or forword cant. Highly adjustable or not adjustable. Then kydex or leather or a cross of the two. If you are going to go to matchs or train draw and fire drills and own only one holster some leather holsters carry fine but do not offer easy reholstering. Kydex/leather like a cross breed /compact style or all kydex are easy to reholster even when the belts very tight. Even what you do as a daily routine and handgun you carry can help define your choice.

All you have have to do is the same as all of use have done, pick one and hope you get it right the first time.

I ordered a Theis IWB horsehide for my G23. I carry my Kahr CM9 around all day in one and its great. I want to carry my G23 more so i figured i'd go with the Theis for that one as well..

I carry a G19 daily. I use the IWB Galco Triton holster and an extra mag or two in a fobus mag pouch (paddle type). It's plenty comfortable and concealable.

I've tried the crossbreed type holster, but they just didn't work for me. They are too hard to get on an off, especially in a car. Which is something I have to do often. I also prefer something with adjustable tension.

Glock 23 IWB with a Crossbreed Supertuck and OWB in a Blackhawk Serpa CQC but I am looking at a Raven Concealment for OWB

February 6, 2013, 08:45 PM
Crossbreed Supertuck IWB. Amazingly comfortable way to carry the gun in a very concealed manner. I finally came to the conclusion that the combo of Glock 23 and Supertuck holster worked so well that I had no need for my Ruger LCP so I sold it. I have carried in winter and summer, more than 12 hours a day every day, nearly 365 days a year, even in just a t-shirt and shorts. I highly recommend that holster.

February 6, 2013, 09:08 PM
Between those two choices, I would go with the 23. I carry a G30, kydex iwb.

I don't have a 19 yet, but the 36 I carry is roughly the same size (they can actually both use the same holsters). I've got a nice "summer special" style IWB holster that I bought from JBP Holsters ( I think they provide very good quality for the money.

February 8, 2013, 07:46 AM
I am a strong side OWD guy, have been for the past 20 or so years. Before that I experimented with other styles. My overall choice for the G22/G23/G19 carry is this belt scabbard in horse hide by Kramer. After 17 years of almost daily carry it still looks and performs like new.
I like the Safariland single mag pouch because it hangs lower on the belt than most carriers and doesn't poke me as badly.

February 11, 2013, 07:24 PM
I carry my 19 IWB and OWB. Depends on the weather/what I am wearing. I live in FL, so 7 months out of the year, I pretty much have no choice but IWB. When it cools down a little I like to wear OWB.

Anyone else have a holster made by JBP?

All day, every day with a leather IWB and Instructor belt. Holster is home made.

I carry my G19 in a Lobo Avenger OWB. I love how light it is (it's a Glock duh), but the chunkiness can get bothersome on occasion. It's a non-issue in the winter, when everyone has a jacket or something covering it.

March 9, 2013, 11:14 PM
I carry the Glock 23, I go to for all my concealment needs...

I just bought a 23C. Bought a Galco FLETCH. Going to open carry it mainly on road trips. Otherwise I CC a 27.

Carry G23 in a Remora holster for concealed IWB, love it. Just dont love the Gen4 grips digging into my side. And a Blackhawk Serpa for OWB when I wear a coat.

March 10, 2013, 08:30 AM
I recently switched from Fobus OWB holsters, to Galco IWB holsters for all of my Glocks: 26s, 19s, 17, 20s and 21s. I found that with the Fobus OWB, my low back was becoming quite sore. Not only do the Galco IWB holsters don't hurt, they actually seem to give low-back support. I'd never use Fobus OWBs again.

What I find the most impressive about the Galco IWB holsters, is that they can conceal G20s and G21s so thoroughly, on me at only 5'9 and 180 pounds. A G20 or G21 is a lot of handgun to conceal at my size. The Galco IWBs leave zero observable print.

Glock 19 in a Comp-tac Minotaur hybrid. The back is a little slippery and slides down a bit. Looking for a way to tackify it if anyone has any suggestions. Other than that its a great option
