The first picture appears to be a bolt jeweling / engine turning jig.
The second one could be a weeny roasting stick for all I know.
At any rate, that guy must have spent more time fiddling with fixtures and jigs then he did doing gunsmith work!!
I have never seen a gunsmith or machine shop with that many special "fixtures" unless they were working for Boeing or McDonald-Douglas to make a real living.
What part of the country did all this stuff come from?
