I decided to fess up to my inner comic geek and share some of the toys and inspiration for my firearm hobby.

My long term goal is to own a representative of each type of firearm pictured in the punisher armory series (as close as I can legally get) along with a few of the armory insert guns from the regular comic book.

A good place to start is with my American 180.

This is a semi auto version of the gun pictured in the punisher armory number 4 page 31.

Based on Casull's design and adapted for full auto riot control in the 60's, the semi auto American 180 is One of the top 10 guns of all time for dealing with the zombie Apocalypse

I was able to shoot a full auto version of this rifle way back in the 1980s when I was living in Houston TX. I didn't like it. The magazine is heavy and as it is positioned in the front of the receiver it makes the weapon very muzzle heavy.

Perhaps you would like a semi auto version of it but I would rather have a dressed up 10/22 instead.

You know having one of these doesn't mean I don't ALSO have a dressed up 10/22 or two ;)

I'm a huge 10/22 fan.... they are good, practical, reliable guns.

But the AM 180 is one heck of a novelty.

Wow. That comic series takes me back... it was one of my favorites too. (20 years already???)

It is also probably responsible for some of my preferances in firearms now (1911's, 357s for room clearing, etc.)

But the sheer number of firearms in that collection...ambitious project.

Good Luck!
