Thoughts on a load

I was loading some .45 ACP this afternoon using Power Pistol, but I had a little Accurate #7 left, so I loaded some up.

I know it's not ideal for .45, but I'm getting ready to move and was trying to load up as much as possible, and empty out low containers.

Here is the load -

New Remington brass
CCI 300 primers
9.7 grs. of #7
230 gr. Berry's plated RN
1.260 OAL

Again, I know #7 doesn't go hand in hand with the .45, but besides being too slow burning is there a problem with this load?

Best thing to do is call Accurate Powders for a load with No7 in 45ACP. They'll tell you straight up.

You're right.....Accurate Powders, not old school Accurate Arms.

I know there have been variations over the years.....

They'll send you 3 or 4 pages of load info on No7 with the 45ACP. They have tons of data they never place on their web site. You'll see.

Accurate #7 works well with 230gr at the upper end. I tried Blue Dot and did not like it, VV N340 is also good powder for heavy 45acp loads.
I mostly use W-231 and Accurate #5 for 45acp.

Save #7 for 9mm/40.
