Any remedies for this problem? I reload 40 on a Dillon 650 with Dillon dies that are supposed to help this very problem but I still get a primer that sticks to the depriming pin and becomes redeposited in the primer pocket and then blocks the primer that was supposed to go in that case. I have polished the depriming pin but still have this issue about 5% of the time. Any tips besides telling me to shoot and load 45ACP??? :)

I take it you've adjusted the depth, so that the primers are completely clearing the pocket every time? After that, I'd look at the end of the pin. Maybe it's too squared off and could use a little rounding and/or polishing.

That, or change brands of primers.

Have you tried replacing the pin?

Also, polish the end of the depriming pin a little.

Yep, change the geometry of the pin so it doesn't stick in the anvil.

Polish the pin, there is layers of primer compound and lube, so it is sticky. Little bit of polish and you shouldn't have the problem. If you do then either reshape pin or replace it.

I had it happen to me aswell, all i did was polish and it was fixed.

I used to have that problem. Nether shaping or adjusting helped. I studied the problem till I found must of the 9mm had crimped pockets. After swagging all new to me brass I don't have the problem anymore.

I think I had a similar problem, primer wasn't completely out unless I heard that little 'pssst' of air. The second time I punch it, it pops out.
