Wonder if that poor soldier took a mouthful of promethazine before being forced to shake her hand?
Loved the crossed fingers:D

I love the (Sun Tzu ? or is it Machiavelli) quote about keeping your enemies closer, but sometimes it gets down-right revolting!

That sort of reminds me of a picture of a POW during the Korean war. The commies took a picture of him to show he was alive and well(though they were brutally mistreating him in reality) but he slid his hands between his knees and gave the cameraman the bird with both hands! The commies didn't know what it meant so they sent the photo out anyway.
Here's another good one:

a U.S. Navy spy ship was intercepted in international water off North Korea in the 70's, and in the group photo, alot of the folks in that picture were giving, as they told the commies, the "Hawiian Peace Sign" with one finger (:

I dislike Hillary's politics as much as anyone, but I think what the soldier did was in poor taste.
Would he have been forced to shake her hand by the military?
If he was not forced, then doing what he did is wrong. He should have just refused.
This makes the military appear disrespectful to a Senator.

This makes the military appear disrespectful to a Senator.
As well they should, in this particular case, especially when the Senator is making an obvious attempt to use the military for her own political gain in the first place.

This makes the military appear disrespectful to a Senator. When your senator is disrespectful herself, then it seems more than justified to me.

Funny thing is, commissioned officers can be court-martialed for showing "contempt toward officials" (Article 88 of the UCMJ), but in this case enlisted folks get a free ride: it is perfectly legal for them to do so.

I dislike Hillary's politics as much as anyone, but I think what the soldier did was in poor taste.I assume the picture has been photoshopped. Or does someone have conclusive knowledge that it is authentic?
Edited to add: Especially since the shadows on the crossed fingers don't quite match the rest of the image. And his fingers appear to be in Ms. Rodham's line of sight.
(Note to Todd Rowe: Sorry about the verb, "to photoshop." ;))

I don't know if he was forced of not, but if she wanted to take a picture with him, it would not bode well for him to embarrass a Senator by refusing to do it.
