You know what the battery life is on those things? Dismal is an understatement. Think 5 minutes.

Yeh use wisely. I would like to turn it on in the woods just to see how bright 4100 lumens really is.

I think I read their lasers go 85 miles into space.

Their Artic and Krypton lasers are very powerful. Not the kind you use to entertain your cat with, though, being as they'll cut/ignite materials, and can cause instant, permanent damage to eyes.

Gizmo with little, if any, practical value.

4100lm and 5-10 minutes of battery life?

How about 8000lm and one hour, and this is nothing new or unusual: http://www.ultibeam.com/85-Watt-HID-Flashlight-UB-FLHID85W.htm

I suppose that'd work, if you don't mind carrying around a 6 pound, $700 flashlight.

Warning: This laser's brightness is potentially hazardous to pilots vision and satellite sensors. NEVER point it at an aircraft or a satellite. The S3 Krypton is too powerful to be used as a laser pointer or a gun sight. Never point it at another person, an animal or a vehicle.

you know you have a hell of a laser when it can interfere with satellite sensors....

i do however find it humorous that they say its too dangerous to be used as a gun sight....never mind the gun barrel pointing at the guy, that laser will kill ya.

The warning is about the innocents that get lit up with this thing and the damage to their vision.
