MALTISE
December 5, 2012, 10:44 PM
I am a new member here but have been around fire arms for a while. I just bought my first 39 a it is a bit of a beater bore is good, wood needs refinishing and the metal needs rebluing. Very light pitting nothing a little glass beading & light emory cloth will not remove. The rifle was built in 1977 and I am looking for a takedown manual. I have to completely take it apart & I don,t think an owner`s manual will show me enough. Can someone tell me where I can get a takedown guide or manual. Purchase or download:confused:
Thanks

Try posting this over at www.marlin-owners.com/forums/
Before Cerebus bought out Marlin and turned it over to Remington, you could send it back to Marlin and they would literally return it to new/better condition for a reasonable amount.
I don't know about now.
I used to get small parts from them, but haven't tried contacting them since '09, before the relocation. My contact info is no longer current.
Some of the regulars over at m-o will know who or where you can get good/reasonable service.

Radocy is one company that has a takedown manual for the Marlin 39.
They are about $10 and available on Ebay and other sites.
