Does anyone offer a fiber optic front sight for the old-style GP-100 sight that is pinned into the barrel instead of being dovetailed in like they are in the newer models? A Google search left me high and dry.

Ruger does offer a brightly-colored plastic replacement sight. Not fiber optic of course but maybe better than nothing:

I'm pretty sure the one for a SP101 would fit if it's the right height.

I saw the bright red one. Might look into that if nothing else turns up. It certainly would be an improvement.
I had the idea for the SP101 too. My wife has one. They're nearly identical except for height. The 5-shooter sight is quite a bit shorter. Darn!

My GP100 has the front sight that just pops out when the little spring-loaded plunger is pressed in. I'm looking for a replacement sight about half the height of the standard version.
Will SP101front sight fit, or are they all the kind that are held in with a pin?
