Pietta 1851 London and 1861 Navy - same frame?

I bought a Pietta 1861 Navy (steel backstrap) and I am interested to also get the Pietta 1851 London Navy (if it goes on sale cheaper than $299).
I see that the Pietta 1862 police seems different (no case hardening or something), and the Pietta 1851 is different (brass backstrap) - but Pietta 1851 London Navy and Pietta 1861 seem to have the same frame.
I am hoping these two have the same frame - Does anyone know if this is correct?
Do both of these lack the funky Pietta grip everyone gripes about?
Thanks!

All Pietta 36s use the same frame.
Makes it easy to mix-n-match barrels & cylinders.

Thanks Dawg - i know they can be mixed and matched -
but i want to know if these are cosmetically and by the backstrap and grip shape the same exact frame - that way i could get a matching pair if i buy an extra barrel down the line (of either 1851 or 1861)

I have noticed that the Pietta 1851 lacks a small groove inside the capping recess in the recoil shield while their 1861 Navies maintain this feature.
Technically they are the same frame as stated, but there are differences in manufacturing between the two as made by Pietta.

Yes, they are the same frame; just that some are cut for the shoulder stock and some aren't.
