A couple/three years ago there was a fellow on this site talking aobut a new improved gun grease. I want to think it was from Berryhill Guns. I think someone was going to do some testing on it and let the forum members know what the results were. I have done a search but cannot find anything on it. Anybody remember what this was and the results?

Sorry, I don't know the specific grease you're asking about, but about three years ago I did some research on which gun grease was the best. What I came up with is this:

http://www.amazon.com/Synthetic-Grease-Syncolon-Purpose-Lubricant/dp/B000XBH9HI/ref=pd_sim_misc_1

This stuff is cheap, available just about everywhere, and protects my firearms beautifully. I use it on everything from the op rod on my Garand to the rails on my 1911's. It's not specifically a gun grease, but it works very well in that application.

You will no doubt hear from folks who will tell you that you must spend seven or eight bucks an ounce for this or that "miracle" brand of gun grease, but I doubt that you'll find anything that works better.

Steve, we talked about it in 2008. For some reason, it was dropped from the product line. I have read elsewhere that there was a problem with the grease, but don't recall the exacts.

Superlube sure seems to still be available:

I use superlube on my Riley tubes. I usually get a tube of it for 6.49 at ace hardware. I swear that place really does have about everything everything. I use to go other places looking for "stuff" then I'd remember ace and they would have it. It took me a few times, but now I go there FIRST. Lol

I believe this is the thread: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=250842

It was not Super Lube. It was Berryhill's 'Ultimate Gun Lube' and/or 'Gun Goo'; no longer available.
