I'm not sure if anyone's seen this but I figured a few of us "nice" 10mm guys would appreciate this.

At $599 retail I would be interested in checking one out.

As expensive as 10mm is id just pony up the extra 400$ for a colt.

I don't think I would and I'm a fan of colt but the chamber on this thing is thicker than the Smith 10XX series of pistols. Tho in uses a bull barrel instead of the normal barrel bushing design which I'm not a fan of.

It needs to be a long slide. I wish someone would make a 1911 in 10mm with a 7in barrel.

Looks nice, but LGS has new Witness steel in 10mm for $475.

Nice to see a new entrant into the 10mm market, especially since it is a 1911.

I'm not positive, but I think Fusion makes one. I know they make an actual 7" 10mm barrel, just not sure if they ever made a slide/whole gun for it.

The only 10mm 7in longslide that I am aware of was the AMT Javelena. Notice I say "was", I mean try to find one!! Fusion makes the 6in kits but I do not think they make a 7 inch kit.

I had an AMT 7" 10 mm for years, bought new. The early Norma ammo was really hot and accurate. A friend talked me out of it a couple of years ago to use for pin shoots. I got out of the 10mm because my old hands couldn't take the recoil much any more. I really like the long barrel and still have two 7" 45 ACP's.

I went looking for it again, but I think you might be right. I thought I saw it somewhere, just don't know where.

I'm very tempted. I've long wondered when, if ever, RIA would offer something other than .45acp and .38super for their 1911s.

My RIA 1911 has impressed me so far (it feeds everything), so I might bite on the 10mm offering.

Oh great, I didn't need to see this. I have four RIA's already, three in .45 and one 9mm.

That looks like a great deal. I think I need another 1911.

REALLY. Hmmmm.

(I know Fusion USED to have them as long-slides, I wonder if they still do as a special order, or they just dropped them from the web site.)

If you're looking for a long slide 10mm look into Para Ordnance, I believe they've been ready to release it for a bit now.

My LGS called me today and said one had just arrived. I had a bit of time to kill before my flight and this required a quick trip. The gun appears to be fairly well made. If they hadn't been up to their arse in paperwork for black rifles it would be sitting in my house tonight. Looks like I'll be picking it up in a few days :)

Even if CTD decides to start back selling guns, I'd buy it from someone else who knows which side they're on. I might even send CTD a note saying I did that.

Not to worry as I've caught the 10mm bug so the Universe will remain balanced.

Nice piece and a heck of a deal, even though it's $175 more than I paid for my Delta Elite. In 1989.:neener:

When did CTD stop selling guns, and why? Was it a knee-jerk reaction to the school shooting or did it get to be too much of a PITA for them?

BTW, I see they've jacked the price for SR9 mags UP from $39.99 to $59.99. Ouch!

Does anyone have experience with the EAA Witness Hunter?

It looks like a big beefy gun that could handle the 10mm

Not yet, as of Saturday the release wasn't back from the gubmint and he's closed until Wednesday. I had to buy a Smith 1086 from a private seller to tide me over.

Are you still carrying your G29 as a bug when you're on duty?

A 1086 isn't exactly a consolation prize! :)
