This new bill is not retroactive, you'll be able to keep what you have. She's also looking to ban hi-cap magazines, anything over 10 rounds. http://www.salon.com/2012/12/16/feinstein_to_introduce_assault_weapons_ban/

I didn't understand that line. What did she mean by, "not retroactively, but prospectively?"

I didn't understand that line. What did she mean by, "not retroactively, but prospectively?" It means if you already own an AR 15, AK 47, or any other weapon that accepts magazines that holds more than 10 rounds you'll be able to keep them. But, once the new law goes into effect future sales and transfers of these so called, assault weapons will be illegal.

They aren't gonna try to institute a mandatory buy back program like they did in Australia?

She said "...regardless of what rights you think you may have..." No, it's what rights I know I have.

If that question was for me, I'm not sure. But it doesn't really matter to me as I am moving to Connecticut in March. I'll tell you this though, the laws couldn't get much more strict here as is.

They will try. We won't let them.

So....what exactly happens to your "evil" stuff when you die?

Will the .gov pay your heirs a fair price for it? Otherwise, last time I checked, forcibly taking someone's property without their permission and without compensation was called "theft."

Will it disarm Feinstein's bodyguards? Will the bodyguards have to carry post ban firearms?

I understand that she also has a California Carry Permit. Will she give that up?

Just my .02,
LeonCarr

There is a good chance a non-retroactive gun ban will work.

It has in the past at the federal level, it is working in CA, and I believe in other states as well.

Americans have proven time and again we are simply unwilling to do what is necessary to protect the rights of posterity if our own rights are left alone.

In some cases we have proven unwilling to do what is necessary to protect even our own rights as they have been blatantly violated and taken away.

It seems we have demonstrated a pattern of being unworthy of the freedoms that better men than ourselves have provided us, including the RKBA.

Welding Rod are you serious??? your tag line alone is startling. You would willingly turn your firearms in to these goons, and call those who resist cowards! What planet do you live on!

We all, collectively, will drop our shorts because some minimum wage thug wearing a TSA badge tells us to.

Why would we think this time will be any different?
