It took only a half-hour to strip, clean, lube and re-assemble my recently acquired Walther P-1 (post war P38) this morning, while watching the Shuttle reports (such a spectacular tragedy).
After that, I took the P-1 out for a little exercise this afternoon, and what a fun afternoon it was.
This old work-horse is as accurate as any pistol I've ever fired, and functioned without a hitch using CCI Blazer and Winchester 115 FMJ ammo as well as some IMI 115 JHPs.
I wonder if I can talk the local IDPA clubs into a "Surplus Match"? :D
