I load 147gr mil surp rounds using 4895. I am running 1 to 1.5 moa at 100 with this mostly plinking round.I say most plinking as I have used the load for tactical rifle competitions in the past with good result. I guess I could tighten it up some with better bullets but it seems to work fine for my shooting needs. I have never used the bigger heavier bullets.

I load 40.5 grains of IMR 4895 topped with a 150 Hornady FMJ using WCC brass and CCI primers. It is a light load and shoots well out of the StG FAL and Saiga without unduly trashing the brass. Some here have gotten good results using about 44.0 grains of Varget powder.
The same powder charge of IMR4895 in Federal brass/primers and a Sierra 168 Match bullet gets me sub-MOA groups out of the FAL. I have not yet tried any 175 grainers.
Good Luck

I've reloaded for my SA58 rifles in the past. I've used 147gr Winchesters, 150 gr Hornady FMJ, and Hornaday 168 gr A-Max. Although it's been a while I do remember the rifle liking a 168 gr A-Max with a fairly hot load of Winchester 748. I've used IMR 4895, BL-C(2), IMR 3031 and Reloader 15 all to good effect. I've also used both CCI #34 as well as Winchester large primers successfully.
The FAL has a robust gas system, I wouldn't be afraid of using 175 grain bullets.
