THR is being slow right now. The cause is this:
We index the database a few times each hour because of the load the process causes; this process only indexes the posts that have been made since the last index. We also perform a complete reindex every Monday.
Until today that was set to trigger at 9am, but with the recent increase in interest re: firearms, this process is taking longer to complete, causing things to slow down in the meantime.
I've reconfigured things so this will happen in off-hours in the future, so hopefully we won't see this again.
