Loading and going to load more but havin trouble finding any 7.62x54r brass, so far what I have found is PPU seems kinda thin and cheap S&B = junk, Winchester seems better Also found Lapua lil pricy.
Anything I'm missing?

There is also Norma Brass (http://www.norma.cc/en/Products/Components/Cases/) but that's also expensive like Laupa Brass. (but very good) They, like several European nations call that caliber 7.62x53R, it's the same thing.
I have to disagree on a point you made above, PPU brass (Prvi Partizan) is not at all bad brass for reloading and the ammo is good too.

PPU is good stuff, and for the price I think the best thing on the market in x54r. I have also used Lapua which is good stuff, but expensive. PPU cases will hold more water than Lapua, so be advised the same loading in the different brand cases, give different results down range.
Hard to find PPU cases short of buying the loaded ammo and going from there.

What seems to amaze me is, that with the demand for this brass, some other brass manufactuer has not jumped on this oportunity to make some money by producing it. I wonder if enough people asked, if they would do it?
I doubt it, but it would be nice to see some on the market again. If a guy would have only knew this stuff was going to dry up.

Give this thread a read:

then give that company a call and see if they still have stock. Short version?
Brand new Lapua for .30cents/pc.
You're welcome:):)
