I picked up about a 100 moon clips a while ago. These are the only 2 round clips I have ever seen.
Has anyone else seen any of them and have a explanation as to why 2 rounds?

Because you can put "1/3 moon" clipped ammo in a box.
Because you can put "1/3 moon" clipped ammo in belt loops.
Because you can put "1/3 moon" clipped ammo in your pocket without as much bulge as half moon or full moon clips.
Just because... they thought they could sell them.

The 1/3 moon works well with the idea of keeping your revolver fully loaded in a combat situation. Seems the plan is fire two, open and reload two at a time so you never "shoot it dry". With the six round reloaders you either are empty or you throw away loaded rounds when you decide to top off. Keep in mind...I've NEVER been in any kind of combat. This is something I read...written by one who may or may not have been in combat. Therefore, don't forget the salt.

When I go to the range, I load up all my ammo in full moon clips. A lot of fullmoon clips pre-loaded can be very bulky. Not much of an issue when you have a range bag along.
That's why I use the 1/3 moon clips from www.moonclips.com for everything else. I just pre-load them up, and put the loaded clips right back in the standard ammo box. Handy...
