Hey I didnt know what forum to put this in. I placed an order on Midway USA last night and realized I goobered something. Sent them an email and didnt hear back, called customer service and the 800 numbers been busy all day. Not trash talking midway or anything, love those guys, just wondering if anyone knows whats up. Dont want the wrong order to go through.

They're swamped. Drove by there Friday while in Columbia, and the employee lot had every able body at the warehouse.

The phones are maxed out, they dont have enough people to answer emails. They do have a chat service, that worked for me. I had to figure out where my powder was, and I couldnt get a hold of anyone, use their chat service, it may take a few minutes, but they should be able to help you.

I'd love to see in their warehouse right now. Probably get an echo in there with all the stuff that is out of stock!

I placed an order 12/24 and got the e-mail today that it has shipped. I'm sure Larry is happy!

Midway is neck-deep in orders. Their customer service is still great, though.

I ordered a case of ammo on 12/21/12... Looked later that day, the ammo was out of stock. So naturally, I got a little worried. I called on the 12/22/12 to verify that I did have a case coming to me, and that they didn't need ID or anything to ship ammo like some places... stayed on the phone 29 minutes... TWENTY-NINE MINUTES... before I got through. I expected a very angry hag, but the guy that answered was extremely helpful, and pleasant. Got my questions handled in just a minute or two. Ammo shipped on 12/26/12, set to be here on 12/28/12. I'd say they're doing pretty well, given the circumstances.

I ordered a couple 5 round AR magazines post madness and the order still shipped same day.

Brownells on the other hand took a week from order time to ship... they are getting slammed.

I ordered something from MidwayUSA on 12/23 and it shipped the next day.

I ordered something from Brownells on 12/17 and there's no indication when it's going to ship other than an 'is being picked' status. Trying to call always goes to a busy signal and cuts off to a 'we're closed' message at 5 pm sharp.

It's been frustrating.

I've ordered from MidwayUSA twice in the last 2 weeks. I got both orders in just a few days.

I My order from Brownells, has shipped. It took a few days more than the MidwayUSA order.

Well i finally got a hold of customer service only to be informed the order had shipped and since it was ammunition I cant return it. So I've got $50 in rounds that I have no use for. Go Midway.

Well, it was your fault wasn't it? Next time double check before you hit the order button.
On the up side, ammo holds it's value well so you should be able to resell it.

PDC. I learned from brownells that if the order number starts with "5" it means you successfully made an online transaction. When the order number changes to an "8" prefix that means it is in stock and prepping for shipping.

Thanks for the info! That's good to know!

Unfortunately, my order has had an "8" prefix since 2 days after the order was placed. No updates, no luck getting through by phone.
