Well, I was actually able to find a lower receiver, so I've been looking for parts now, that way I can try and get that knocked out.

This is my first ever gun build of any type so any and all advice is accepted and appreciated.

As I was looking for a lower parts kit, I noticed that there was a bunch out there...so I'm trying to figure what a good quality one is for a good price. So I wondering if I could get some direction as to a quality parts kit.

Thanks again.

Edit: lower receiver is mil spec, .223/5.56.

Basically it's how nice do you want your trigger to be. I have a Model 1 parts kit in the lower, works fine, but heavy trigger pull. The really nice triggers come as a drop in unit, which makes things a little easier.

AR-15.com has lots of great info.

Midwayusa.com had some LPKs a couple of days ago...DPMS, I think.

Not over the top expensive but good quality parts.

Model1sales.com has decent stuff at good prices. Finish tapping the grip screw hole into the receiver and install a set screw to take up pre travel but leave at least .015"-.020" of sear engagement and throw on a set of JP springs. Dam good trigger for less than $10.

Well I just found one on Midway. A Daniel Defense. They are on backorder but only until Monday 12/31/12. Most all other please for 6-8 MONTHS! I went ahead and ordered so I wasn't out in the cold without one. If I have to, I'll just upgrade different parts at a later date, like the trigger and what not if I don't like them.
