Please relay your experiences reloading this caliber. Helpful tips and recipes. How do you mimic the factory coatings on the brass?

Most folks who reload the 5.7 clean with products that will not remove the coating. Simple Green IIRC.

The 5.7 is a whole nother animal when fired in the blow back actions. The shoulder moves waaaay forward, and then must be pushed back with the sizer die. .030 plus is common. That leads to failures at the shoulder withing a few firings, and without warning.

I tried it (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=418831), decided an AR57 wasn't for me, and do not at present load the 5.7. It would be a cool little caliber in a bolt gun or single shot where the case would not be subjected to the abnormal stretching.

The best place for info is the 5.7 Forum (http://www.fivesevenforum.com/).
